What you need to know

Sessions

  • Length: between 50-60 minutes
  • Number: this will depend on the nature of the work,to be negotiated with your therapist
  • Cost: £50-60 Discretionary reductions available by negotiation
  • Payments: By arrangement with your therapist
  • Health Insurance: A number or our therapists are registered with the major  Health Insurance companies  ( AXA,BUPA,AVIVA).If you intend to use insurance to cover your sessions ,please mention this at the time of booking. If a therapist is not registered with your insurance provider,it may be possible to register with them.

Making contact

Contact is made directly with your chosen counsellor through the contact details available on this site.

 

What happens next?

  • you will be contacted usually by the next working day following your enquiry
  • If the counsellor you have contacted does not have availability or does not feel they are in a position to accommodate your request, they may refer you on to another counsellor or possibly another kind of therapeutic service.
  • the therapist will then contact you to arrange an initial appointment
  • the first session acts as an 'assessment' to enable you and the therapist to establish the basis and nature of the therapy

Cancellation policy

The therapists working at the Centre typically have a  cancellation policy. If cancellation is made under this notice period, full fees will be charged.Your therapist will inform you of their cancellation policy.

Confidentiality

All therapists at the Dunton Centre follow UKCP, BACP, or HPC professional Code of Ethics  and complaints procedure which can be found on the respective websites for the organisation with which your therapist is registered.
